On December 28, Forbes China officially released the 2025 Forbes China Top 100 Young Returnee Elites list. Fan Feng, Founder and CEO of Yanhe Technology, was selected in the Growth Potential category, in recognition of his breakthrough innovation and solid industrial execution in the field of perovskite solar cells.
The selection focuses on three core dimensions: innovation-driven transformation, growth potential, and global vision. Yanhe Technology stood out for its robust patent portfolio and strong technological barriers, rapid growth momentum in the new energy sector, and expanding global footprint—particularly its first-mover advantage in consumer-grade perovskite applications, which has become a benchmark for hard-tech entrepreneurship.
From Academic Research to Industrial Breakthroughs
Fan Feng’s entrepreneurial journey is deeply rooted in scientific research. He began studying materials chemistry at Peking University in 2016, focusing on advanced photovoltaic technologies. In 2020, he graduated with honors and later earned a master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Columbia University, building a rare capability that bridges deep technology and business strategy.
In September 2023, Fan Feng co-founded Yanhe Technology with fellow Peking University alumnus Peng Zongyang. The company was officially established in early 2024, embarking on the industrialization of perovskite technology. By October 2025, Yanhe successfully completed an over RMB 100 million Series A financing, accelerating commercialization. Within just over a year, the company established a cross-regional operating structure spanning Beijing (R&D), Changde (manufacturing), and Shenzhen (sales), with its team growing to more than 100 professionals, including top experts and researchers from leading institutions worldwide.
Scaling Consumer-Grade Perovskite Solar Technology
As the only company in the consumer perovskite sector to achieve large-scale mass production, Yanhe Technology operates China’s first fully automated, lights-out production line dedicated to consumer-grade perovskite solar cells in Changde. The company has achieved stable batch delivery, with products entering the supply chains of over 100 well-known brands across more than 50 countries and regions.
Yanhe’s products have passed RoHS and REACH compliance and obtained TÜV Rheinland certification under the IEC 63163:2021 standard, providing strong international validation for global deployment.
Leveraging advantages in stability, photoelectric conversion efficiency, and cost control, Yanhe’s perovskite solutions enable “power generation wherever there is light.” The company has established strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Lenovo, Aqara, and Signify, jointly developing innovative products such as perovskite-powered sensors, smart glasses, and intelligent lighting systems.
