From June 2 to 5, at COMPUTEX 2026 in Taipei, Netronix, a global leading e-paper application solution provider, unveiled its new 31.5-inch full-color e-paper signage display powered by Yanhe Technology’s perovskite ambient light energy harvesting cells.

The product marks a major step toward fully passive commercial e-paper displays. Without external power supply or battery replacement, the display can operate continuously using only ambient light, offering a new low-carbon solution for next-generation commercial signage.
The new display integrates E Ink Spectra 6 full-color e-paper technology, Netronix’s mature display system, and Yanhe Technology’s self-developed Qiguang Series perovskite energy harvesting module. Designed for low-power electronics, the Qiguang module enables stable self-powering under regular indoor lighting conditions and supports continuous device operation.

With its ultra-thin and lightweight design, the module can be seamlessly integrated into the overall product structure. It offers an indoor service life of up to 10 years without battery replacement, significantly reducing lifecycle maintenance costs while helping eliminate battery waste from the source. Its strong low-light power generation performance also opens a new pathway for battery-free upgrades in low-power electronic devices.
The 31.5-inch full-color e-paper signage features vivid colors and a paper-like display effect. With a slim body, narrow bezels, and customizable appearance, it can easily fit into a wide range of commercial environments. The display consumes power only when content is updated, while the image can remain visible even after power is cut off.
Content can be updated remotely via a mobile app or centrally managed in batches through a backend system, reducing the need for on-site maintenance. The product is suitable for applications such as retail price tags, shopping mall posters, meeting room signage, transportation guidance, hospital notices, hotel menus, and other commercial display scenarios.

With “AI Together” as its theme, COMPUTEX 2026 highlighted the global energy challenges brought by growing AI computing demand. Thanks to its bistable display characteristics, e-paper consumes very little energy and is becoming an important part of green digital infrastructure.
For e-paper applications, power supply has long been a key limitation in scenarios where wiring is difficult. This passive display solution can reduce installation costs by more than 60% compared with traditional powered products, while greatly lowering maintenance costs across the product lifecycle. It also supports zero-carbon operation during use, aligning with global carbon neutrality goals and green procurement trends.
Yanhe Technology has previously worked with several e-paper companies, including SEEKINK, Geniatech, Meikai Innovation, and Fengzhuo Technology, to launch passive e-paper terminals such as electronic table cards and e-paper photo frames.

Netronix has long integrated environmental responsibility into the full lifecycle of its products. This collaboration represents a practical step in combining renewable energy technology with display technology. Looking ahead, Yanhe Technology and Netronix will continue to deepen the integration of perovskite photovoltaics and e-paper applications, jointly building a smarter, more efficient, and low-carbon next-generation display ecosystem.
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan, Netronix Inc. was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2002.
