On June 15, Yanhe Tech signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. to advance the development and commercial application of perovskite solar wings.

The two companies will combine Yanhe Tech’s space photovoltaic technology with Yunyao Aerospace’s satellite development, constellation operation and launch capabilities. The cooperation will cover product development, satellite integration, in-orbit testing and commercial deployment.
Yunyao Aerospace operates China’s largest commercial meteorological constellation based on GNSS radio occultation technology. As of April 2026, 47 satellites had been launched as part of the Yunyao Meteorological Constellation.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop perovskite solar-wing solutions for the constellation’s actual orbital and power requirements. Key areas will include cell adaptation, lightweight structural design and space-environment reliability.
The partnership plans to conduct perovskite solar-wing tests on no fewer than 30 satellites each year, with the goal of achieving commercial-scale deployment by 2028.

Regular in-orbit testing will provide Yanhe Tech with valuable real-world data, helping accelerate product iteration and shorten the path from engineering validation to commercial use.

The cooperation further expands Yanhe Tech’s space photovoltaic ecosystem and supports the development of lighter and more cost-effective power systems for commercial satellites.
